Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before downloading or using Pulse Player. By downloading, installing, or using the app or visiting pulseplayer.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Pulse Player.
Pulse Player is a native Android media player application for playing M3U8 HLS streams and MP4 files, with a built-in downloader, custom HTTP header support, subtitle track support, and a coin-based reward system. The app is provided free of charge and is monetised through non-intrusive advertising via Google AdMob.
By using Pulse Player you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your country) and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the app on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Pulse Player for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This licence does not include:
All intellectual property rights in Pulse Player — including but not limited to the app code, design, trademarks, logos, and brand identity — belong exclusively to Pulse Player and its developers. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you. Pulse Player is built using open-source libraries and frameworks (including Jetpack Compose, Media3, ExoPlayer, Hilt, Coil, OkHttp, and others) which are subject to their respective open-source licences.
Pulse Player is a media player only — we do not host, provide, or distribute any media content. You are solely responsible for the content you choose to play or download using the app. You agree not to use Pulse Player to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
Pulse Player uses a coin-based system to monetise network streaming and download functionality. Coins are earned by voluntarily watching a single rewarded advertisement served by Google AdMob. Coins have no monetary value, cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash, and are non-refundable. We reserve the right to modify the coin system, including earn rates, costs, and the 24-hour ad-free pass, at any time without prior notice.
By using the app, you consent to the display of advertisements as described in our Privacy Policy. Advertisements are served by Google AdMob and are subject to Google's policies.
The download feature in Pulse Player allows you to save media files to your device for personal offline viewing. You must ensure that you have the legal right to download any content before doing so. We are not responsible for any content you download using the app. Downloaded files are stored locally on your device and are your sole responsibility.
Pulse Player integrates with third-party services including Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party service. Links to third-party websites or services from within the app or our website are provided for convenience only and do not constitute endorsement.
Pulse Player is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pulse Player and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or device damage, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the app — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for a free app, is zero).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pulse Player and its developers from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
We may terminate or suspend your access to Pulse Player at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall do so.
We may release updates to Pulse Player from time to time via the Google Play Store. Updates may be required to continue using certain features of the app. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any feature of the app at any time without notice.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation wherever possible.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Pulse Player after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
